I will be part of what appears to be a most fascinating discussion at this festival. I'll be on stage with Christopher Ingraham, the man who wrote the piece in the Washington Post about Red Lake Falls as the worst place in America to live. Invited to visit the town he lambasted, he found it so disarmingly engaging that he and his family moved from Washington D.C. and took up residence in Red Lake Falls, where he still lives today. He and I will be discussing life outside the cities. The title of our conversation is "guys from the north country." It will begin at 11 at the Minnesota State Fair grounds. Should be a good time.
